About Beach

The Pretty Towers come from the suburbs of Adelaide.

The Concept Album Beach is their debut release.

The four piece band's self produced album tells the story of a beach town and the people that holiday there.

It draws upon themes of nostalgia and misspent youth.

Featuring Carlie James (Drums), Nicole Hobson (Sax), Mitchell Otto (Vocals, Piano and Guitar), Dave Tagg (Bass) and Mia Sanders (Guest Vocals).

The band formed in mid 2019 after answering a classified advertisement. Mitchell pitched the idea, Dave rang, he knew Carlie and Nicole had a similar add.

After rehearsing until December the band decided to record the majority of the album live in January.

The name of the band is a David Bowie reference to Oh! You Pretty Things and a live show at the Tower Theatre.

There was something special at that show. Beach is that same something.
